As a result of last year’s User Conference we have some money available to us to spend on the WI-VMUG. A small portion of it was spent on our website. We have had several discussions about what to do with the remainder of the funds. We thought that iPads or maybe a weekend vacation for the Steering Committee members were great ideas, but in the end we decided that it was best spent on you, the WI-VMUG members that make this the great Users Group that it is.
So with that we have started doing some shopping. So far we have purchased some Kindle Fires, ROKU 2 XD’s and Apple TVs. For each of the next three meetings leading up to our 2012 User Conference we will have 2 Kindle Fires, a ROKU 2 XD and an Apple TV to add to the usual mix of books, training courses, sponsor gifts, VMware/VMUG swag, etc.. that we give away in our end of meeting drawings.
There will also be some additional items given away at our 2012 User Conference. At the moment we are talking about an iPad 3, an Android Tablet and whatever other items we can come up with with what’s left of our fund.
What’s the catch? Well, first you will have to attend the events. Once you take care of that, be sure to enter in the drawing at the meeting and most importantly be sure to stick around until the end since YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
